Kiro Pricing: Plans and Credits

Kiro subscriptions bundle monthly credits for agentic work. Paid plans increase the included credit pool and offer add-on credits; the cost of a prompt varies with the task and model. The plan table preserves credits as credits.

Are vibe requests and spec requests still the current unit?

Current unit versus historical terminology

Fact Current unit: Kiro credits on a monthly plan pool. Free includes 50 credits; paid tiers include 1,000, 2,000, 5,000, or 10,000.

Historical terminology: older Kiro posts described separate vibe requests and spec requests. Those allocations are not the current plan pools.

Effective/current sources: Kiro pricing and the billing docs. Vibe and spec remain action classes that consume credits; TraceCheck does not restore old request tables as current quotas.

Beyond the plan

Add-on credits and rollover

Fact Add-on credits cost $0.04 per credit; unused add-ons roll over and expire after 12 months.

Included plan credits follow a different rule: Resets at the beginning of the billing cycle; unused plan credits do not roll over.

The Free plan does not offer paid-plan add-on credits. See Kiro's pricing and credit FAQ for purchase conditions.

Is Kiro CLI pricing a separate subscription?

Fact Kiro's listed subscription interfaces include the IDE and CLI. This record does not define a second CLI-specific plan price. Credits measure work within the supported subscription interfaces.

The Kiro model and access overview covers interfaces and model access. A subscription is not permission to use any third-party harness; Kiro limits it to the supported interfaces described by its official sources.

What a credit does not tell you

Fact Credit consumption changes with task complexity and model choice. Model availability can also vary by region.

Unknown There is no fixed conversion from one credit to prompts, tokens, or completed tasks in this record. A large monthly credit count does not establish a corresponding daily or five-hour message allowance.

Derived Use measured credit consumption from your own workload to decide pool size. The included-credit calculation alone cannot identify the right tier for that workload.

Return to Kiro models, IDE and CLI access, and verified changes, or use the AI coding cost and limits comparison to inspect different billing models without equating their quota units.
