Amazon Q Developer to Kiro: Ended or Migrating?
This page covers whether Amazon Q Developer IDE plugins are ending and what officially replaces them. Current Kiro prices and credits stay on Kiro pricing. Cancellation and failed-payment recovery stay on their own guides. Amazon Q Developer is not a TraceCheck product record.
Pending verification Free-plan web and team access needs re-verification and is not asserted here. The verification date still applies to retained pricing and credit facts.

What stayed the same
- Fact Existing Q Developer Pro or Kiro subscribers keep Q Developer IDE plugin access until 30 April 2027.
- Fact Plugin listings remain published with a deprecation notice pointing to Kiro; AWS says critical bugfixes continue in the transition window.
- Fact Console, docs, mobile, and chat-app Q surfaces are out of scope for this sunset.
Unknown — account_dependent whether a specific Q Pro seat, Builder ID, or IAM Identity Center assignment has already been moved onto a Kiro subscription, and what credits carry over. Check the Kiro and Q consoles; do not infer a universal credit mapping from these pages.
Current Kiro plan prices and monthly credits are on Kiro pricing. If a paid Kiro subscription fails, use payment-failed recovery, not this migration page.
TraceCheck maintainer: review on AWS or Kiro migration-doc changes, and before 30 April 2027. Do not mark Q Developer ended before that dated end-of-support. Console Q remains a separate surface.
