Kimi Code Usage Limits
Kimi uses three distinct allowance layers. TraceCheck keeps the rolling request window, weekly Kimi Code hours, and monthly membership credits separate.
Direct answer
What are the current Kimi Code usage limits?
- Fact Rolling 5-hour window
- Every plan has a rolling 5-hour rate window; too many requests in a short time trigger rate limiting until the window rolls over. Unknown Kimi no longer publishes a request count for it; the earlier approximately 300–1,200 range was removed from the official overview.
- Fact Weekly limit: legacy plans only
- New plans have no weekly quota. Existing subscribers on legacy plans keep 5 hours of Kimi Code per week, refreshing every 7 days from the subscription date without rollover.
- Unknown Monthly shared quota
- Kimi membership features share a monthly credit pool that refreshes each billing cycle. The stable numeric credit amount is not publicly disclosed; members see it in their account.
Plan change
New Kimi plans: no weekly quota for new members
Fact Kimi released new membership plans with pricing unchanged. For new members, the weekly quota limit is removed and only the rolling 5-hour rate window remains, inside the shared monthly total quota. The Go tier has no coding quota; Plus and above can use Kimi Code. K3 needs Plus or above; K3 1M context and HighSpeed need Pro or above.
Fact Existing subscribers on legacy plans (Andante, Moderato, Allegretto, Allegro) are not affected: tier name, quota rules and auto-renewal stay the same, and moving to a new plan is optional.
Unknown The public docs do not map each new plan name to a price, so the table below still lists the legacy CNY tiers shown on Kimi's pricing help page.

Blocked while another balance remains? Read the notice for the window that stopped the request. A monthly balance does not remove a separate five-hour or weekly limit. Use the quota-error recovery guide to match the error before buying more usage; the three clocks above are not interchangeable.

Models and multipliers
Capability changes quota use
Kimi K2.7 Code is available across the listed plans with a 256k context window. K3 and k3-256k are available from Moderato; K3 supports up to 1M context from Allegretto, while k3-256k remains 256k.
Fact K3 consumes approximately 2× the quota of k3-256k. Kimi K2.7 Code HighSpeed is documented at 6× output speed and 3× quota consumption, and is available from Allegretto.
These multipliers describe quota consumption. They do not create separate request pools.
Overage
Extra Usage
Subscribers can enable Extra Usage after the hourly, weekly, or monthly allowance is exhausted. It is pay as you go, based on model tokens and caching, and uses the shared Kimi balance.
Unknown TraceCheck does not store one fixed public Extra Usage rate because the official documentation directs users to the current platform pricing and describes it as close to API pricing.
